NCSC Accelerator - Cohort 4
We are now into the fourth programme of NCSC’s Cyber Security Accelerator, based in Cheltenham.
Wayra UK are the continuing delivery partner for the accelerator.
I’m part of Wayra’s delivery team, as “Mentor in Residence”, reprising the role I’ve had in the previous three programmes. My role is part-time, helping the teams clarify their value proposition and deliver a great product or service using skilful and secure engineering patterns. I’m still having a great time: it’s an honour to work with, and learn from, such great teams.
In alphabetical order, they are:
CyberFish, who provide behavioural science assessments and insights, to help companies and teams prepare for crises, such as a cyber security breach.
Fraud.Net, who help corporations minimise fraud losses, by gathering real-time data from customers and businesses to support ML and Big Data analysis.
KeyBox, who take data safeguarding up a notch, by splitting sensitive data up and separating the shares, rather than just encrypting it in place.
Ohalo, who find and manage an enterprise’s Personal Information, and provide tools to generate robust Subject Access Requests.
PixelPin, who provide a picture-based login technique for businesses that want to move beyond passwords.
SecureSchools, who provide a cyber security training and assessment portal that’s specially designed for use by schools and colleges.
TrustStamp, who allow businesses to use the best parts of biometrics, whilst eliminating the storage of any Personal Information.
From previous cohorts, Cyber Shield are now called Aquil.ai and the Haandle team are now providing a similar offering as Black Dice
Demo Day is coming up soon, somewhere in London. Must be somewhere fun, or they wouldn’t be keeping it secret!
